Do you guys bring home what you catch?

Pretty much, the whole troff became a gaint ice cube basically.

Winters can be brutal there but everyone who I know who has moved there still loves it.

I envy those of you who are able to do so, many years ago I brought home bass, crappies, many varieties of sunfish, carp, channel cats, white cats, bullheads and others for aquarium pets. Unfortunately I live in California and it's now highly illegal to transport any live fish caught while fishing or any other method...

I have never kept anything because felt bad about removing it from its "natural habitat" .

While back I came across a 'ditch" fed by canal loaded with very large and pretty jewel cichlids which were so large I was catching with hooks.

I didn't keep any but regret it as we than had months of 100 pls and it dried up they all died if not the cold spell we just had would have killed them .

Living in a ditch for fish is risky lol. If I knew such extreme temps were coming I would have kept a pair.

or you could have killed them and put them out of there misery when you caught them on hook and line. Keep our home waters clean and free of none natives.

I have before (largmouths, bluegill..) but not anymore. I would like to keep some trout but then I don't have a big enough tank and no chiller.

I release everything I catch. I was considering keeping a little bass or something but after doing some homework I decided it wasn't worth it. I think it would be cool though.
