I have 2 arowana before name ariel and burdado both australian gold but they die 1-7" 1-10".

Wife named our silver Goliath. He's a brute.

Interesting, I never thought about giving a name to my arowanas. But it did appeared in my subconscious mind that there's the jumpy idiot who scared the crowd, probably I'll name it "scary cat", and there's the cool dude with not a worry not a care, probably I'll find appropriate names.
Each and every aro has a unique character, but having said that, I never named them.

Update on the names...
My monster jar is Brutus
My little jar is Bruiser
My Odoe pike is Odie

I have added several new fish since this old post. I have a total of 3 silvers, 2 Jars, 3 Gar, 4 polys, ARTC, RTC/TSN---A whole lot to list. All will be named eventually. They have to earn their names.

My daughter named my first arowana, a silver, Rex, next came a yellow tail, Rex II, followed by my keeper, a RTG, Rex III.

She also named a black diamond rhom, Hugo, and a piraya, Chucky.

Rex is okay, the other two idk.
