Do you guys use camera tripod to take fish pics?

its pretty usefull its good for getting those really focused pics

I have been into photography for 40 years. a tripod is never a bad idea, but for aquariums I find it to limiting, and it serves no purpose if you have fast moving fish. I use a dslr and a 70-200mm 2.8 most of the time. it's a big, heavy lens. a mono pod is much more useful. I sit on my couch about 10 feet away. too much fiddling with a tripod and the legs always seem to get in the way. what are you shooting with? a 15.00 tripod could cause more problems than just hand holding.

No particular reason that I am using it for. I was thinking of using it for video so I don't have to hold the camera while I'm feeding my fish.
