Do You Have A Predatory / Monster Fish That Accepts No Tank Mates?

My Texas/Jag hybrid from the 90's. Killed a Black Shark and a Pleco that were both bigger then him. Black Shark was 14 inches and the Pleco was 15 inches. He was 11-12 inches.
 
I once had a giant shoal of guppies in with my Fahaka. They actually reproduced faster then he ate them. I think they were just too small to bother with. I also had a large shoal of filament barbs with him for awhile. They were so active that he stayed in hiding a lot. Of course he still caught a few and just bit them in half.
 
My 10" giant gourami seems to be heading in the direction of wanting to be a loner

My fahaka live with two ottos and had a bristlenose until i decided to move him. I want to try some tankmates but i worry lol.
