I'm completely neurotic, can't sleep without it. :/ Sometimes it infiltrates my dreams, which isn't bad if its some infantile cartoon but it sucks when I fall asleep to gore porn.

..... I hate waking up at 3 in the morning debating if I need a slap nut chopper, food dehydrator, or if my 1985 jean jacket needs to be bedazzled.....

I have fallen asleep with the tv on since I was about ten years old. In the last nineteen years I've probably slept with it off on a handful of occasions. 90% of the time it's been sportscenter. I do the sleep timer thing at times, but if I wake up in the middle of the night I turn it back on. I can't stand the sound of silence. :screwy:

i cant fall asleep with it on- plus i gotta save all my valuable electricity for my fish tanks!!!!!

I almost always leave mine on. I believe most damage is done when a TV is turned on... so I don't like the on-off-on-off thing. I had a TV for 19 years keeping it on alot, in fact all the printing on the remote wore off(good thing I knew what buttons to push).

I dont only b/c the tv is in the living room not the bedroom. I voted yes though b/c when I had a tv in my bedroom it was always on at bedtime and I would put it on sleep timer so it would turn off in an hour or 2 hours or whatever i picked. I am used to sleeping with out it now, but def. felt more comfortable when it was on.
