Do you like your rays darker or lighter?

Seems like people hate the black sand only because of the phoo factor...

If I do make the change, it will only be a light layer of black sand, hence my rays and other fish will create enough current so that my filters suck the phoo up! (kinda like now but only with the natural sand)

Right now they are on natural creek sand. White or black does sound sexy.

I had white sand on mine and the poo was easier to see on it rather than the black I just switched to. My Motoros poo is dark brown anyways, so the black hides it better.

Trying white sand out is cheap, Home Depot sells 50# bags for about $8 each, but black sand is expensive. Can only buy it at LFS here. $20 for a 20# bag.

Ive got the best of both worlds one of mine is really dark the other is really pale.
