I was wondering on the tmeperment and personality of suncats. Will they allow you to hand feed then, are they skittish...ect ect thanks

i loveeee my sun cat, im planning on getting 2 more so the sun cat i have now can be truly happy. the sun cat i got now is about 6.5" from head to tail. he was totally nocturnal for the first few months that i had him, then once he grew to about 5" he wasn't so shy anymore...he now swims throughout the tank even with all the lights on and me doing water changes. hand feeding will be very very tough, and i dont know if its possible.

Oh and by the way my sun cat went through a period of time where he was pretty aggressive over his territory (the flower pot). but the hiearchy of the tank is established and now none of the fish fight at all.

My sun cats like to hide alot they do come out when food is around though my sun cats eat all sorts of stuff and alot of it i don't know if you can hand feed them mine won't eat from my hand

I also noticed some territorial behavior from my largest sun cat he would bite any one that would try to enter his cave which was made of rocks stacked on top of each other

Well my sun cat is ok. He hides most of the time and is growing very very slow! He eats and is peacuful!

so suncats dont have the temperment of like a bullhead or something? they just are kind of a cool fish to have but not interact with.

i love my sun cat its my favorite fish hes so big pretty and friendly, hes wat got me into monsters, i bought him at 1inch and now hes 8 inches

Besides hiding alot I loved my suncat. Always cleaned up the extra food, never bothered anyone, and just an all around cool fish.

well i just picked up a 7 incher and he looks pretty sweet but he only comes out when the lights are off and is wicked scared when i walk in the room. lol but im sure he will come out of his shell, and from what all you are sayign he gort great reviews from everyone so hopefully i will enjoy my mini-monster. any more input is till appreciated
