do you name fish?

My three Oscars are named after famous Oscars: Madison (from the Odd Couple), Gamble (former MLBer) and Grouch (Seasame Street). My bigger Jack Demspey is known as Big Jack. My dwarf JD is known as Little Jack. I don't name my Africans, or any of my barbs or tetras. I named my two cory cats Feldman and Haim, after the two washed up 80's child star actors. ha ha........ god I suck.
 
I dont really name my fish.... unless they do something to get a name.... other then that I just call it w/e I feel like.
 
We only name the big ones

Oscars: Piggy, Kermit, Cartman, Butters, Chi, Hideki
Green Terrors: Adolph, Eva
Jaguar: Mick (Jagger)
Clown Knife: Spot
Ghost Knife: Casper
Plec's: Hoover, Oreck
Tinfoil Barbs: Huey, Dewey, Louie
Gold Severum: Daisy
Arrow's: Herman, Lilly

Oscars: Kenny, Kyle, Stan
Ghost Knife: Spooky
Royal Knife: Stripe
 
If I name them, they die. It's a proven fact among my friends and I. Every one we've named has bit the substrate, so I just call them by their common names. Sucks, huh?
 
same with me man, if i name something its gone. i named my ghost knife last week by accident (had the melody from mack the knife in my head) and a few days later i noticed ick..... he hasnt passed yet so i'm hoping for the best.
 
Well my little niece calls my baby bullheads "Kitty" so I guess that's their names for now.... :)
 
i only name my main fish for example if i had 2 discus with loads of neons i would only name the discus like bill and ben or jim and frank
 
Yes I name them if the really stand out I had a really really really mean big clown trigger and he would bite the hand that fed him so I named him SPIKE

I came home one day with an oscar and my son named him BOB
then when BOB got bigger he said I think BOB is lonely and needs a friend
( he was in a 70 gal by himself) so we went out a got a big oscar and he named him BILL well to make a long story short BOB and BILL became a pair and made some good looking babies so BOB's named was changed to ROBERTA
