Do you name your fish?

I always associate my pets with myself in a similar way. Good to see others do. I use the same argument for people who do not decorate or put cover in their tanks. I know it's a personal preference and many fish can be happy with no substrate or decor, but I know if I was put in a zoo or on display I'd be much happier with a bed or chair than being thrown in an empty cell! Of course I won't ever challenge someone's right to keep their fishtank the way THEY want it.

I know pets aren't people.. but they do feel and live and at least understand body language!

Ive got a tank across from the bottom of my stairs that you can see from the top, they always go crazy when they see me at the top of the stairs because they think they will get fed. Well they are paying pretty good attention because one day my girlfriend flung her keys (attached to one of those retractable nametage things) at them and they all flinched. Changed my view in how much "attention" they can distribute.

I do have some names for some fish, but, I have way to many fish to give them names.

I have 4 of these and the very bottom one I named Bonita, she is hand tame and very interpersonal

I did also take time to name some cichlids.

I called them dinner for my tiger shovel nose muahahahhahahha

BIG HEAD-Crenicichla Reticulata( I got from RAPPS)
LANCE-Jing Kang FH(Picked up from LFS)

I named my 2 Oscars after my 2 good mates, one's called Johnson because he's fat and moody and the other Cannon because he is a bit smaller with boggle eyes!

My 14" Red Devil was names Bubba

Large Frontosa was D'bo

Freshwater Flordia Ray was named, well Ray

my big Oscar's name is Deebo.

I've named most of the fish.

Bala Shark- Tweak
Clown Loaches- Little John, Friar Tuck and r.i.p, maid marian
Pleco- Robin Hood
Honey Gourami's- Floatsom and Jetsom
Betta fish- General Finn
Dwarf Puffer- lord puffington

I'm quite the disney fan and so the poor fish often get named after disney characters.
