Yeah Im into my fish and they do get named. Sometimes it takes a while of watching to get the right one but eventually they all get named.

So here are my bichir and names and why they got named that way

Weeksii - Nessie, due to her elusive nature it literally is like the Loch Ness monster sighting at times.
Teugelsi - Tweedle, due to the tweed like pattern on her body
Endli - Croc, lets face it this guy is a brute. It reminds me of a croc picking up food off the ground when it eats.
Koliba lap. - No name yet... Raptor? Leviathan?

So do you name your poly's? If so, why/how did they get their names?

I personally don't, but I will look at my endli and say it reminds me of a stegosaurus when her fins are erect lol. Imo naming your fish is fine their pets.:)

DMD I'm with you I've named my polys too. I have a Nessie(Seg), Dracula(Albino), Mina(Female Albino), Jack The Ripper(Polli), Frankenstein(Lap), Aaliyah(Endi), Aurora(Ornate), Phynx (Delhezi), Sly(Delhezi), Lollie(Delhezi), Rex(Buet), Mosa short for Mosasaurus (Weeksii)

Mine have no names. But my oldest son calls them by number like.....fish #1, fish#2, etc. Those names have stuck for almost a year now lol.
