Do you name your poly's?

I named both of my Senegals. My smaller, darker one is named Rhaegal, the dragon borne son. My larger, lighter one is named Apophis, evil of the aquarium, rival of Rhaegal.

So here are my bichir and names and why they got named that way

Weeksii - Nessie, due to her elusive nature it literally is like the Loch Ness monster sighting at times.
Teugelsi - Tweedle, due to the tweed like pattern on her body
Endli - Croc, lets face it this guy is a brute. It reminds me of a croc picking up food off the ground when it eats.
Koliba lap. - No name yet... Raptor? Leviathan?

So do you name your poly's? If so, why/how did they get their names?

I name my fish too, the big ones anyway. I tend to name my polys after mythological dragons in folklore. My ornate poly is named Jormangundr, after the Midgard Serpent in Norse folklore. I also have two blood parrots named Sissypants (or Pants) and Igor. Pants earned her name, and Igor is a one eyed freak so... I thought it was fitting. I once had a huge pleco named Leviathan. Back in the day I used to have a collection of Bettas that were all named after wizards...

Endli dabola - annie wilkes... misery... wife was hand feeding the pearsei and was telling her that that the dabola is a miserable s.o.b ...

She gets a name! I almost thought she was going to get named s.o.b.
I still cant come up with a name for my Koliba... Help, lol
 
Im no good at namesm wife and kids handle it. Let your wife name it

I have no polys yet but plan on getting a del

Anyways i named my Betta zeus because he put on intense blue in the 2 months since i had him and from my 17 goldfish i have 2 that can be identified.

These are their names from my 7 year old sister
Jeremy - my shebunkin
Bubbles -my sarasa comet with long fins

Thats how my Regani got the name Rainbow brite and how my old midas got the name Mr. Fintastic, called him Fin.

I knew I couldnt let her name the endli because it would have been called Daisy or something girly like that. So when I came up with Croc for the mean endli, I knew I had a winner. IF I let the wife name the Koliba it will be embarrassing for the fish, lol

Haha i actually find it amusing on what they come up with. Best so far is nigel marvin and baby bop....wth !
