do you need to quarantine plants before you put them in?

do you need to quarantine plants before you put them in you fish tank? im just woundering because after i bought more plants i noticed there were tiny worms in my tank a week after. so yea please answer my question.

I usually don't. I wipe them down with a paper towel before they go in the tank. My fish usually eat the worms that come in on them. I actually like the snails that hitch hike in.
 
yes you do. will you could get pests the main reason i would either quarantine or bleach dip(not pure bleach) is to kill nuisance algae that may hitch hike on them. after having my whole tank wiped out by black brush algae from a singapore plant dealer, im qting everything i get from a untrusted source
