I plan to get a 155 bowfront tank & would like to put in it
2 Oscars, Dempsey, Green or Red Terror?, Severum,
Firemouth, Blue Acara, Pleco, Bala Shark or two, & 3-4 Silver Dollars.

What do you think?

I have all the breeding I need with two convicts in my 29 gal.

You want all those in a 155gal? wow....interesting. Ditch the thoughts of the Red Terror, as if you get a male it will probably terrorize every fish in there. Bala Shark you will have to get large, otherwise they will make a tasty snack. Aside from that it all looks kewl. Only a bit iffy about the acara, get second opinion bout that. Do save the oscars for a bit though....they are fast growers!

It sounds like one of my overstock tanks except the oscars, bala, and silver. Go for it and give a try. You can get one male each except the festae. IMO, female festae is over-hyped, unlike the male, it does not have the power to back up its aggression. My large female festae got killed by my blackbelt that has swimming bladder problem. So sad.

Female festae are far more aggressive when breeding but from what I have seen males are more aggressive most the time.

Is ok if u want to comm those fishes but must have some hideout for the weaker fishes. That means this comm cannot be a bare tank.

the sharks are so flighty that they would constantly be banging into the side of the tank and then would die because of that...

As long as you dont get a male festae then I see no problems. Male festae IME are much more capable and aggresive than females once they mature. Female festae can talk the talk however only males can walk the walk.
