Do you think I have enough or the right water rotation?

If you look at the photo above, I have the following filtration:

FX5
2 x AC 110
30 gallon wet-dry

The return from the wet dry is the waterfall on the right corner of the tank. The input is on the leftmost part of the tank, its the ugly black PVC pipe.

The return for the FX5 is the located in the top right center of the tank. The input is towards bottom left center of the tank.

The AC 110s are on opposite sides of the tank.

How would you optimize the positioning of my filtration so as to maximize the "circling" of the current? I think I did the best way that I can to have the circle current but maybe other members have other ideas.

Thanks!

That waterfall was a pain in the tush! The tank is in my bedroom and the waterfall sound is too loud. Added 4" of PVC to submerge it.

Now I think I have enough water rotation because some dust/dirt that was not moving started moving when I submerged the return line from the sump.

Also, my DIY overflow is making the gurgling noise. Do I get the cap, drill a hole in it, and cap the vent tube? Is there other ways of eliminating the gurgling noise?

Its only a 100 gallon. I know, its too small but upgrades is in the planning stage. Arowana is 12" and ray is 7" so I would say the tank would suffice for 6 months which by then I would have already upgraded.

Cap it or nylon net it to eliminate the gurgling noise?

i think you have a good amount of filtration on that tank.. just make sure you keep up with your water changes and shouldnt have any problems imo

I would change the whole thing to one large sump with a spray bar across the top.

I'm up to it. I'm currently doing weekly 50-60% water changes. My water change schedule was working when I have almost twice as many fish and it should be working now as well.

Beautiful setup althoigh clearly a temporary arrangement for those bad boys. Why no substrate?
Use the piece of netting by the way....

Definitely a temporary tank. I'm planning on getting a 4' wide tank sometime next year.

No substrate for cleaning purposes and to minimize dead spots towards the bottom. I have a small powerhead pointed towards the bottom back corner where the pvc is located so as to blow aways the dirt that accumulates in that spot.

That's unfortunately out of the question. Its only a 100 gallon tank with a width of 18". The with of the stand's bottom compartment is about the same. I had to remove the tank and fit the 30 gallon tall through the top of the stand. The 30 gallon is the biggest I can fit from the top.

Wouldn't a spray bar minimize the water pressure because they are smaller? The current in my tank is made in a way that water is pushed from the right side of the tank by the return from the wet dry pushed by a Quietone 28HH and the return from the FX5. Both of them are situated towards the top so as to prevent them from in case of a power loss if they were placed lower.

The input is one on top for the wet dry and two inputs towards the bottom with the use of the FX5 and the AC110.

Also, I removed the air stone and placed it in the sump section of the wet dry for more oxygen. I think I have enough current and top of the water breaking because one of the FX5 nozzles is pointed upwards and the waterfall effect of the two AC110s.

The spray bar would increase the O2 in the water, if you have a strong pump there will still be lots of curent in the tank.

Would you say I got less O2 now since i removed the airstone and the waterfall on the right?
