Getting two 4in. widebars tomorrow. One of them only eats live.

Do you think its safe to starve a 4in Widebar onto non-live???

Thoughts?

Previous owner starved him for a month but he eventually caved...

One of the widebars I can def. confirm, here is a pic of one of the one in question...

Anybody care to re-confirm? I just wanna be 100% sure is all...

not an expert on dats but either way that is nice!

looks like wide bar here
:D

I have never kept dats but I will suggest you do with them what other people have done. Fatten him up for a few days first on live foods and then try to starve him onto non-live foods. That way you at least know he had a good few meals before you put him under that kind of stress.

Those are both wide bars. I actually really like the first one. But he is really skinny.

I got a great deal on two of the wide bars I picked up last year ($35 ea) because the guy couldn't get them off of live foods. I fattened them up for a couple of weeks on live, and then started mixing in frozen krill. It took one of them over a month, but he finally broke down and the other one is now my best eater and loves gulping down pellets.

Get them both, fatten em up, and then enjoy two beautiful widebars.

I would say 1st one is an Indo, but a beautifull one. I woudlldget it!
