Ya absolutly! I watched this show actually not long ago and they had put rays in a maze to find out if they could get out and they were able to aswell as teach the one following to do the same thing.
I have seen many fish learn from each other, even if they aren't the same species. I once had Freshwater Barracuda that learned to eat pellets from watching tankmates do it. I think that rays are fairly clever. I'll be keeping an eye on mine when I do add to the collection to see if I spot this type of behavior.
i had a yepezi ray that learned to bounce a rock under his disc to make a KNOCKING SOUND. which ment he was hungry, becuz i would always knock on the glass before feeding him. it took him a month to learn this. if my electricity didnt go out, while i was at work, i would still have him.
