i'm not disgusted by the fish the way its binge eating as it does during floods i'm digusted by the keepers attitude the way she/he is keeping the fish in with other species and complain about it being 250 bucks fish

yah.. the feeling is mutual. their $100 here :headbang2

I don't care, not my money nor fish and I tend to not worr about stuff i can't control. The owner is a Idiot, and you can't fix stupid.

why would anyone risk the legal problems to have a snakehead as a feeder anyway?

so.
the owner [i'm pretty sure] is a member here, and local to me.
believe that all those fish are feeders[probably not the other cat], including the juv snakeheads. they're commonly used as such around here.
i dont know why she felt the need to force feed the gulper, since it did look pretty well nourished, but sometimes forcefeeding new, typically difficult feeders is a good thing. it works wonders for some SW ray species.

owner ^ ???

So because it works wonders on some of the SW rays that means it'll do wonders on a gulper? Or any other fish for that matter?

From everything I've read on a gulper on here, they will eat anything, and everything, even 3x or more it's size if it can.

Would you like to be forced to eat something like that? That someone else picked out for you to eat? No, I don't think anyone would. You feel you have control by doing that? If the fish is hungry then he will eat. Rarely does a fish up and decide that one day I'm just going to starve myself. Even though I'm not sick, or have parasites and my water is perfect, I'm healthy, but I'll just starve myself to death.
Don't be so impatient with things.

i was just saying that the technique does work- for some fish[and other animals]. i have no experience with gulper cats, and i'll let those who do decide on whether this procedure is right or wrong. not to mention the owner of the fish.
i believe this technique is used mostly on newly acquired specimens, so.
just sayin.
