Do you think this will work or hurt the fish?

Sometimes when I do waterchanges to my tanks I put a bucket outside so the waste water coming out goes into the bucket before overflowing into the drain, this collects the small fry that were accidentally sucked up the hose when vacuuming the aquarium floor.
I just collect the fry at the end and put them back into the tank, they always seem ok to me.

I’ve syphoned many fry. As long as the are just small(think newly free swimming) they will be unphased.

I am constantly finding Fry in the bottom of my eheim canister filters. I can’t imagine a siphon is any worse than being sucked up through the filter. The fry also survive in said filter with water gushing in non stop. I have to imagine that is a fair amount of turbulence.
