I dont know why you would want to take aim and ym with you all the time. Im always invisible 90% of the time on those IM programs.

i had me a beta version of longhorn....was pretty nifty.....although, it was beta

I do ever since I found itsending out someone elses spam at odd hours, I had been given a hijack worm, to get rid of it I had to replace the harddrive. Now if I'm not actualy using it, it is off, I also upgraded my antiviral and firewall.
 
You can always turn it back on when you need it. I like to start fresh everyday.
I do leave it running for days on occasions. Specially if im downloading "stuff".
 
i am with p45 here. i never turn mine off except when going on vacation or trips longer than 2 or 3 days. but i do turn off my monitor each night. I never have to restart either since i am running xp pro.
