Do you use double or single Toilet tissue?

If you weigh a 2 ply sheet from a double roll vs 2 2 ply sheets from a single roll of the same brand if course the 2 sheets is gonna weigh more. They are claiming that there are twice as many sheets on a double roll

The real questions are: does a 2 ply sheet of a double roll weigh the same as a 2 ply sheet of a single roll? If so are there actually twice as many sheets on a double roll?

Honestly i am dumbfounded that im involved in a toilet paper thread, but im a penny pincher too when it comes to shopping...

One hospital here uses toilet paper that is about as wide as an uno card.....I'm not sure if it is two ply or not.

I don't argue that 1 double roll is more then 1 single roll. What I'm trying to say is that it really isn't double. It may only be an extra 80% of the regular size.

I went back for grins and added 3 cardboard rolls to the double roll(so 4 cardboard rolls plus the '300' sheets) against 2 regular rolls(2 cardboard rolls with 150 sheets each) and the regular rolls STILL weighed more.
 
Ok thats what i was getting at. If 2 single rolls of the same brand and ply weigh more than a double roll then im buying singles from now on.

Dude thats how these companies screw us! The double the number of sheets but skimp on the material in each sheet. Or instead of raising the price on a bag of chips they reduce the amount in the bag by an ounce and charge the same! It pisses me off!

Yes, I used Angel soft in my testing for both and the tissue itself is the same. I can only think that they really don't put 300 sheets as they say they do. Had the weight been closer I may not have even posted(I know it's a weird thread) but seeing how much difference there was convinced me to say something.

I noticed the small candy in 8 packs have now changed. They dropped it 6 now and charge the same.
