Do You Use Filter Carbon with Loaches?

I know the Oscar guys will have the carbon debate going for decades, but has anyone suspected carbon of harming their Loaches? Is it worth a spot in the AquaClear? I'm interested in all comments/opinions & I'd love to hear from Jedi Masters ewurm & lupin on this!

I don't use carbon in my filters but I willing to bet that there are no side effects to using it with your loaches.

It's pretty much worthless unless you want to remove tannins or medication.

Thats what I heard, but I wanted to get it from the Loachaholics.

I don't use it. I just store the carbon until for later use when necessary.

The only time I used it was when I ran out of media for my drip tray. I just threw some whisper pads on it for a few days.

+1. It's definitely a waste when you could be running something like Eheim or Matrix where the would be carbon would be.
