I could go nuts and try to work with a butt load of species , esp. with South American oddballs . I love all those voltage species of knife fishes , electric catfish , eels , etc. I'll be going back to school in the spring semester so my focus is lungfish . I have a small South American Lungfish currently . I'm looking to purchase a gilled and/ or marbled african lungfish.

But when I'm buying I ask myself what will look good as part of the "whole picture".

i'am addicted to clown loaches!! started with 6..now i'am up to 60 plus..still trying to get over the 100.. they are just awesome in a big pack!!
Focused variety....another good term.This would apply to me as I tend to stick with a fairly small selection of different fish..I don't really like to mix fish together that would'nt be found in the same waters in the wild.AU_Arowana-RG;4506177; said:

I'm kind of the opposite. Anything really except for most cichlids (excluding discus and angels)
I like my catfish and loaches though.
