Docile monster for SA setup

My Bocourti can be nasty . I have young chocolates in my geo tank , so far so good . I did underestimate them a little when I put rams in the tank , the chocolates had a feast over night.

My psittacus was beautiful but he was a brute and roughed up most of my fish. He could hang with the large geo species like G. altifrons and G. winemilleri, and he did well with Saxatilis pikes, but he was a bit pushy to more peaceful stuff.

My vote is for Uaru. They may not be the flashiest species, but they're endearing, peaceful, and large-growing. Just be sure to feed them plenty of veggies and stay on top of your water changes as they're very sensitive to poor water quality.

Bocourti, pearsei & heterospilus are all CA cichlids...not sure if that matters to you or not.

If you want to stay SA, your best bets are Uaru, chocolates or a large growing type of geo. I've heard psittacus can get nasty, but you can always give them a shot. Theyve been on my list for a while now.

Yep agree with all about the pearsei. Awesome fish, looks cool and mine is very peaceful. Also interactive follow you around and grows at a good rate.

Chocolate cichlid is another good option, doesn't grow as fast or look as good but still nice and peaceful.

Never owned a bocourti but hear they are peaceful and they look awesome
