I'm not an expert by any means, but what are you thinking going into the tank with hatching fry? You think she'd just watch you clean the gravel? You're threatening her, please don't do that again bro!!!

I have cleaned the tank several times while eggs are in the tank and nothing like that has happened. i keep about 1.5 feet of distance n leave their corner alone...today she just lost it n went crazy. n yes i am feeding new fry to old fry...i am not a dealer and RBP aren't exactly in high demand so i have 3choices... 1. Take them out every spawn n grow thousands and thousands of fry out with no where to put them or unload them. Are you feeding new fry to older fry? Why? I wish I could take some to grow out, here's how I Raise fry: http://youtu.be/o1_mHIr-91Y

2. Take them out and let my one and only batch of older fry eat them and save money on food.
3. Leave them in the tank and let them die in the gravel...or grow into "swimmer" stage and get eaten by my adult shoal....
#2 seems to be the best choice to me and my situation. ya know?
