documenting my Alligators growth rate (w/pics)

hi all


im planning to get an alligator gar and a red tail catfish , around 4" to 5" of size , can i mix them i mean same tank?

my rtc lives with the alligator gar without issue. my rtc was about 2 feet when i put them together and the gar competes for food just fine.

hey everyone sorry for the long delay. I have been in africa. The gar is about 2' right now and still growing quick. He successfully ate several peacock bass in my absence ill post more pics once i get a new camera. the one I had got broken in africa.

My gar is about the same length as yours, I haven't measured him ever since I moved him to the pond. Is it normal for him to change color? i noticed he got very black one day and on another he was very light with spots. Also he isn't eating often at all! Since im not home most of the time i just leave the piece of fish in the pond. Many times it is still there at the end of the day and other times it is gone but i think the koi eat it.
