If fuel economy is a big deal to you why not get a small fuel efficient car as well. That way you have a truck to use when you need a truck and a fuel efficient car when you need a daily driver. Cost less long term. I drive a smart car so not much help in the big trucks sense I sold my H2 awhile ago but my best friend has a ford Raptor. Bought it to use as his daily driver than got tired of paying for gas so bought a smart like mine and uses that as a daily driver than the truck when he needs or wants it. Overall he pays less for payment and insurance on the smart than he did for gas on his truck. Though he drove it quite abit. Other than that I have heard that the dodges are a very nice truck.[/QUOTE

Most likely the truck will be the daily driver but will also be getting a used older cheap coolish car for when I think I should cut back. Main focus right now is the choice on the truck, still lookin like Chevy or gmc so far.

i have had a 1500 dodge ram new 4x's in the past 8 years....now i have a new 1500 chevy.... the dodge was a great truck.. we went to the chevy because the dealer of the dodge was a jerk... even after we bought 4 new trucks from him.. gave us the lowest trade in on our 2005 dodge..etc..the chevy dealer gave us deals all around.. . so after buying the new chevy.. i compare the differences on a steady basis... the dodge is more trucky... bigger too.. the chevy is a great truck but when your inside it drives more like a car..lower to ground.. the dodge is much higher.. when we called our insurance company to insure the chevy our insurance actually went down from the 2005 dodge.. we asked why.. and she said there are so many safety features in the chevy.. airbags even on the roof.. and alot of other thing.s..so we have been very happy with our off road chevy truck..like a rock!! And mileage is definitly better then the dodge.. not by a whole lot.. but it is better..and one more big thing.. the dodge 4 wheel drive was always good on snow and ice but still seemed slippery at times.. the chevy has never skidded ..and it does everything
totally automatic.. {maybe the dodge does this now.}{i would check on this} but chevy is definitly safer in snow and ice then our 2005 dodge..everything is done for you..so just check out the 2005 chevy and see how much they had to offer in these areas compared to the dodge of the same year.. bottom line .. they are both great trucks..

Thanks hun, and I dont think Ive ever heard you use words like "jerk" before lol, shame shame know your name.
