Not something I wanted to do but I want fish from solid lines so I can supply quality fry later.

Good decision. If you want quality offspring, you need to start with quality breeders.

I don't, and won't, get ANY sort of assorted fish, whether that be guppies, angels, or some random mbuna from petsmart, unless I'm buying feeders or something (in regards to guppies and the like).
