Does any have a adult Sao Fran

All I can add to this thread is this: there's a reason when some of us want 2-3 of a particular fish, we buy 12 and cherry pick. That said, I think there is a LOT of blatant misidentification going around the hobby nowadays. I don't buy into any of these locales because the harsh truth is that 95% of cichla come from Asia today. I don't care who tells you what. There are only a handful of vendors who's word holds any weight in my eyes.

I agree 100% shook.
The cichla scene is definitely tainted these days.
Rapps is about the only one I trust w/ true wc bass.

Just from what I have bought & learned, you are probably true for the most part... That makes me feel good that I have successfully imported Cichla from Brazil.... There apparently are very few out there who are getting them in from the place we all want them from!

P.S. I have the request in for FOGO!!!

Tomka get me one or 2 of those guys on pellets.
I dont have any time now....Ive got too much fly throwing on the brain right now.
And great job once again on the import.
How about some REAL Rio negro orino's?

*I requested Rio Negro & many others people mention on here...
**My keeper Kels are all taking pellets already!
***All the Bahia pinima eat everything I put in the tank!
****But the Kels in the stock tank still only take live. "It's a group thing"!
*****Whoever want Pinima should look my way instead of others out there... These are already taking sinking massivore, floating food sticks, freeze dried krill, blood worms, sinking frozen krill.... Anything! So you know their coloring is great!

Not sure who's kels these guys are but they sure do look like scats looking Sao Fran's to me. Found this pic wandering around. Or mabye it's just me.. A little more black blotches though.

It's not just you, those favor Scats to me too.

I'm no expert but I'll add my 2 cents worth. The kels I had were wild caught from the Sao Fran river, sent to Japan and then sent to the U.S. There were several others sent in addition to my three. The person that received them is very private and hasn't been public about what he has. I haven't spoken to him for a few years so I have no idea what he still has, if any.

Furthermore, the Sao Fran kels that I had were collected in a spot close to where the Bahia kels came from but a slightly different location. Hence the reason they look so similar but different.

Did you notice where I said I had three Sao Fran kels? I sold one early on to someone in No Cal. For all I know he still has this specimen.
