I am sort of replacing my rena XP2 I had temp for my 150 along with other canisters I have, and was trying to get the top of the line Filtration. Does anyone own a Eheim 2028?? and if you do can you tell me about your experience with it?? thanks..
Really? intresting....I have an FX5 I bought last week..I think it is good..Not Great..cool about you review...thanks..I'll take it under consideration!tank125;2830572;2830572 said:Piece of garbage. Parts are expensive and hard to get. If you have a problem with it, and you will, you will be left without a filter for long time. Way overpriced. Go with the FX5.
yea you right about that....so you had one then...???tank125;2830641;2830641 said:bottom line is the FX5 is cheaper and if you need parts you can get them in a day.
yea imma rena head myself! I have Xp2 XP4's but I gave the FX5 a try to see whats all the hype.. but my boy was saying about the eheim's..I was thinking about it..I here there great canisters..but like you said it all depends on the user...it could be fantastic or it can be crappy..my rena's never crapped on me...and the FX5 is doing fine.....Thanks for you input...Bderick67;2830664;2830664 said:I'm sure you're gonna hear both good and bad about the eheim 2080. Never owned one myself as for the 2028, they seem to need the main seal replaced alot. I have a 2026 that will leak all over the place when the filter is off.
My veiw is that the eheims are not readily available. If you have a rena or fluval quit on ya, you can easily run to the local petsmart and replace it if needed. Myself I just run all XP3s(6 running, 1 spare), since you already have one FX5 may be best just to go with another.
