I cease to appreciate deformity when it affects the functionality of an organ or the animal as a whole. Blood parrots with normal mouths and overall good body form and health - fine. But when they have to inhale flakes through a vertical slot into an asymmetrical gill raker set and swallow that mush into a deformed interior where the spine is pushing the air bladder through the other organs - I'm out.

I own a pretty healthy-looking hybrid mutt. It's spunky, light on its fins and alert, with normal eating and good coloration. I'm not going to spawn it with anything, though.

Why was this thread made anyway? If you don't like them then shut it. I absolutly hate arowanas there just ugly. but do you see me making a thread about how I hate them? This thread is pointless.

Oh hell no.. You know what I did with my last BP? I put it in my monster tank.. Which contained an Arowana.. And I think you can tell what happened to the BP..


I kid, I've never owned a BP.. LOL.

I don't mind hybrids I think we got some very cool fish that way. With that being said....

I just don't like the the looks or shape of the blood part something is just off for me. But my wife loves them. Because I love her I bought one. After about 3 weeks I couldn't stand it anymore my tank was no longer relaxing to look at. so she said I could return it. Never will I own one again.

I will stick with my Puffers, Frontosas and Gold Fish.
