Dropping the last of my sinking pellets in today i noticed something, as always the Orino was the first to eat but he inhaled 3 pellets at once. Idk if hes done that before but not even my red wolf takes multiple pellets at once, especially considering my Orino is only like 3-3.5 inch its kind of crazy he can stuff all that down in one go

Or is this just a bass thing?

My bass does this. It would inhaled 5 pellets then spit out 5 mines later. It's pretty annoying cuz the smaller can't get to the food.

That's crazy! Pigs lol unfortunately I lost one of my Os, he was going for the same pellet as my red wolf.... not a smart move lol they usually stayed prettymfar away but he ended up getting bit in the face then finished off by my ornate :( gotta find another one lol luckily it wasn't the bigger, nicer looking one

Sorry for the loss. Loosing fish always suck.

My 12" Orino eats like 8 pellets at once then he spits out about 6 of them, eats his 2, then munches I the rest. It's almost every time.

My 20" bass can gulp down 3 goldfish that are 3" and hold them in his mouth for about 3-10mins before swallowing, you can still see the gold fish eyes or tail each time the bass slightly opens his mouth.

Yup I feed one piece at a time just because of this lol. After feeding I only have about 3-4 pieces that fall to the bottom.

Just a natural instinct to compete for food

I throw in a handful of carni sticks than it's every fish for them selves. I know my mono inhales multipul sticks all the time cause the sticks just seem to vanish after a couple of strikes. His strikes are crazy and fast, splashes water all the time. Only my aro can strike faster when he's hungry. My mono inhales everything, shrimp, smelts, scad, & dry food sticks.
