Does anyone feed their jag by hand?

Wouldnt have him jump for it, your training for a bad habit. might find him on the floor one day because he jumped for "food."

The first time my buddy caught a walleye he walked right up and lipped it, like most people do with bass...Lmao it was pretty funny. I've also been bit by pike, their teeth can really do some damage!

not like these lol.;)

jags do not have anywhere near the teeth of walley, pike, dovii. i think i could i coulld feed my 14 inch jag with no problem if he would take it from my fingers but he would run away as soon as i put my hand in the tank.

IMO you can train any fish to eat out of your hand.
I handfed my carp and green sunfish, and nowadays handfeed my Oscar and Florida Gar.
And yes, they do draw blood from time to time, but I still love the handfeeding.
here's how i trained my O , with my finger dipped in bloodworms.

but i soon put my fingers in the water to stop my O from jumping.

here's my O mistaking my finger for a worm, when he was small.

that's all sweet, but my Gar is a bit faster and handfeeding can be quite a thrill:

Just go ahead and try it on your fish, you got 10 fingers anyways...lol

i dont have a jag, but i have a motaguense x loiselle hybrid, so its related, and he eats out of my hand no problem lol. hes got some teeth on him now so ive stopped but i think ill do it once i get some krill or sumthin
