I usually use Hikari Cichlid Gold Large to feed my silver aro, pacu, and bala sharks, but I'm thinking about switching to Kens Premium Floating Pellets 5.0mm since it's a lot cheaper, but I've never used it before, so I was wondering if anyone here has used it (or does use it) and could share their experience with it. I basically just would like to know which is better.

I use it and my oscar loves the 5mm floating pellets what would you like to know about them? I could tell you different things.

I just wanted to know how it compares to cichlid gold, whether it is a good quality food in general, and any other comments about it.

I use them for all my fish food. Great service, excellent bulk prices fast shippin. My catfish love the 9.5 aqua stable pellets.

Wow, I wouldn't touch that with a 30 foot pole,lol
That's one of the foods I saw from them. I us Omega one myself and have heard great things about NLS foods (never tried them)
But yeah, those ingredients scare me.

Kensfish does not state ash levels either, at least with taht food....

Yeah I noticed that too, but it is only that food, all the rest of them have it listed.

Is this any better (this is their floating cichlid pellets):

INGREDIENTS: WHEAT, FISH MEAL, SOYBEAN MEAL, BLOOD PORK MEAL, STABILIZED FISH OIL, CAPSANTHIN, SPIRULINA, XANTHOPHYLL, KRILL MEAL, DI CALCIUM PHOSPHATE, VITAMIN A ACETATE, D-ACTIVATED ANIMAL-STEROL (D-3), VITAMIN B12 SUPPLEMENT, RIBOFLAVIN SUPPLEMENT, NIACIN, FOLIC ACID, CALCIUM PANTOTHHENATE, PYRIDOXINE HYDROCHLORIDE, THIAMINE, BIOTIN, DL ALPHATOCOPHEROL (E), L-ASCORBYL-2-POLYPHOSPHATE (C), COLOR ENHANCERS WITH RED, YELLOW, AND BLUE/GREEN PIGMENTS.

GUARANTEED ANALYSIS: CRUDE PROTEIN 45.0% MIN., CRUDE FAT 9.0% MIN., CRUDE FIBER 5.0% MAX., MOISTURE 10.0% MAX., ASH 10.0%.

Also, how do you tell which ingredients are good, and which are bad?
