does anyone here keep muskie

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I used to catch them all the time when I was a kid in the Pocatalico River in WV, big ones on hook and line and little ones with a bucket or a net. mean little guys, I keep redfin pickerels now, easier and prettier. People there would nail the heads to the barn, scarry looking things.

I wouldn't buy one from the store but it's illegal to keep any under 40 inch here in some lakes. They are hard to catch too...

I also wanted to point out but forgot that it is illegal to remove any living fish from wisconsin state waters due to the new vhs regulations, with the exception of live bait(bought from a wisconsin state dealer) that has not had any of the lake/river water added to the bucket or another fish.

Wisconsin is worse than Minnesota due to VHS regulations. We dont have any VHS in Minnesota.....yet.

Possibly, but the biggest, meanest, muskies are seen in the small streams in South Eastern WV, the the stream stops flowing the summer and the dries up except for small holes of water about the size of your living room and in each one is a four to five foot musky!
