sorry to inform you but those "facts" are wrong if you know your muskie you'd know that igfa called the 69lbs a fraud and defaulted to soon to be Toronto's Ken O'Brien who caught the fish on October 16, 1988, in Georgian Bay's Blackstone Harbour, Moon River Basin like i said

Thousand Islands Gentleman. I do believe the record came from that area!

the thousand islands is said to produce the next record though, apparently their pulling out many over 55"

Does the 69" musky my Grandfather caught by knocking it the head with a boat paddle under the Coon Creek Bridge on the Pocatalico river in the winter of 1960-61 count?

That would be a serious fish 8'4", I am glad it's not still swimming around, it might be picking off anglers. What book is that?

its made by the hunting & fishing library, Name of the book is Northern Pike & Muskie. Says it was netted by New york fisheries, from Chautauqua Lake. So it was probly released, the fish was netted in the 1940s tho

there was one cause that was 69lbs 15oz and i think it was cause in the 40's but igfa had it as the record for almost 40 yrs then hey cut it saying ti was a fraud
