Nope, cant keep venomous snake here, or i will get a fine of $100 and then the animal will get taken away.

I wish they were mine. What is it like keeping the macrops? They a testy viper or are they not so agressive/defensive (as a venemous could be)? Any pics?

Wow... you are right... I didn't believe you, but it's actually listed in Toronto's city bylaws. It also suck you can't keep a 2m lizard either.

All snakes which reach an adult length larger than 3 metres
All lizards which reach an adult length larger than 2 metres.

OTHER


All venomous and poisonous animals.

In my opinion, no one really care if you do it or not (I mean like dont take a big monitor for a stroll in the park), just like owning a gun, as long as you dont flash it to the cops, you'd be fine.. Not much people know about these laws anyway

Every city is the same in Ontario, its just some have widen their limitation, because of the low population..
