Does anyone know why my flowerhorn has stripes all of a sudden?

Exactly, my fish are in very great condition, eating well, and swim actively and occasionally get the stripes when they start getting all nuts and aggressive. I guess aggravation is a type of stress on the body though =P

If you've made all the proper accommodations for your fish, proper ph range, temp, etc, then this isn't uncommon with my experience in FHs.
 
Thank you guys! The fish seems to be well. eats well. I do see it being aggressive toward other fish. This is my first FH. If I got another FH in the same tank would they fight?
 
Like Camph said, wouldn't recommend housing 2 in a small tank. The dominant one will continue to grow and the other will be stunted. Not to mention, the dominant one will beat the hell out of it. Even with male/female breeding pair, often times you will see people use a divider with a pot plate on the bottom of each side.
