i have one with a peppered loach right now. i was told that theyre the same thing but different color morphs but you can tell theyre different just by looking at them. Mine is Brown i guess? Naturally reticulated? He's very interesting. Sometimes when i throw too much live brine in the tank he gets real excited and just kinda flails in no direction. he also like to burrow into my java moss and wedge himself in between the leaves of some plants. goes insane over pieces of red wiggler that the spiny eels missed.
My bristle nose pleco hates them though and flips out his spines at the sight of them, the loaches are terrified and usually hide in their slate cave when he gets close
I love dojos. I had a golden one but she died a few months ago. He's almost 7 inches and is gotten really thick. I seen some like him though darker at my lfs but they had longer fins. Will be getting another sometime.

Just got my first trio! I love watching the one bury everything but it's nose in the sand... does anyone else notice theirs "panting"?? that's what it reminds me of when their gills are going that fast!
I have a golden dojo in my 150gal community tank. Got him about 3 months ago (2 1/2 - 3"),
He's closer to 5" now. And not as shy as he was for the first month or two.
Between him, And my golden algae eater, They keep it pretty clean.
