Does anyone use mosquito larvae as feeders?

Bloodworms are midge larvae, though I've never heard of mosquito larvae referred to as "glass eels". I pulled the nutrition info straight from SF Bay's data, they are the ones calling them "glass eels"
Here's their bloodworm info for comparison:

Back when I kept discus I collected them from the birdbath. It only took a couple turning into flying vampires till the wife put a stop to it. The fish liked them even better than blackworms.
