That's what most of our bullhead look like, they are brown bulhead, perhaps you are catching another species? I know you have yellows in Minnesota.

Nope those yellow bullheads that everyone catches in MN is nothing but "YELLOW BULLHEADS". Dam everyone gets annoyed by them too, just always messing with your bait minnow. Hard to get off or atleast nobody wants to touch them. They make some funny noise too when they are out of the water, like frog noise. If you got to the right (or wrong places for me that is) you'll catch more of them than any other fish. They are wider and shorter than that brown bullhead you got in the pic. They don't look pretty at all....lol.

Aquatropics is located in Crystal MN, it's just west of minneapolis. Just go:

35E north
94 west
395 west
100 north
then exit on.........I forgot..haha sorry but there's a cubs at the exit.
take left at lights
then when you see Douglas Drive it's at the left corner.

Here's the address but I think this number is not correct or changed. They stock a lot of game fish but not sure right now. Just wait till spring and you can go to lots of places. IM me if you want the rest of the petshops that I found carry gamesfish.

I don't see a lot of yellow's here in NY but they are here. We mostly have the browns. I love catching bullhead, so much fun and always easy. They taste pretty good as well but don't eat them unless they die on the hook, I do C&R. Nothing like sitting by a pond at night with a fire catching bullheads till dawn...man, I can't wait for summer.

Maybe it's just me but I can't imagine eating bullheads, they just look like they are not clean or good eatin. Yeah I know I'm not giving them a fair chance since I love catfish and they're basically the same thing, if your talking about flesh and enviroment that they are in.........weird huh.

There is a sportsman's club here that has a bullhead cookout every year. A bunch of club members go up north and catch hundreds of bullhead then the club cooks them up and eats them....can't be that bad.

I know, got to be just like catfish, which I love. I be going into the supermarket in the winter to buy some catfish fellets, dam when the warm season comes, I watch out fishes.
