Does fishkeeping ever give you headaches?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
sometime i can't sleep because of my fish. :D

Sure once and a while it's a pain. Try a shot of Jack and a beer works every time.

i dont get headachs but get stressed out alot! part of it is moving all the time and having my tank to move. so im staying and so is my fish ( im SICK AND TIRED of moving all the time! ) and always wanting diff fish. right now my stress is from my oscars. for some reason the bigger one is always having his mouth move rapidly ( may be needing to by air tubes to increase oxygen ) so im worried about my oscars health and my tank is still half full ( putting up the beam this weekend so ill beable to fill it up finally ) and my convict frys, worried about them cause i do want some to make it but nowing my oscars and there predetory instinks most will be eaten. so ya thats my stress. oh and if i should add my magnum 350 ( thinking i may add that this weekend to )

Scrolling constantly through MFK doesn't exactly ease the fishkeeping itch and headaches. There's always a new fish that pops up or an outstanding tank set up that makes me want to try something different. Then there's the unexpected tank incidents too. But I am finally content with my new stock, only one more CA cichlid to make it all complete. When it takes over my thoughts too much I stay away from this site and spend as little time as possible in view of my tanks. But all in all I love this hobby!

My stress level just went down now that I know im not the only person who has fish related thoughts 24/7. Haha. I was starting to think I was a nut. My main stress is that I live in an apartment so my # of tanks are limited. I cant just add fish. Ive been actually replacing fish I got just for the hell of it with fish I actually want. But im at the level where my stock is exactly what I want. So I cant get anymore. I may even have to remove some of the fish I really want as they grow. Damn it, My stress just came back. I need to move into a house already. Im going to sleep.:irked:

yeah my tanks give me headaches but everytime i think about getting rid of one i cant bare parting with the fish.

Amen. I'm very selective, and I quickly get attached to any fish that makes it into my house. It's very hard for me to sell or turn them in. Last year I downsized from roughly a dozen cichlids to one. That was brutal.
