Does Insence affect fish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
When you burn insense, does it affect the fish or deep into the water, because I personally burn insense, and just wanted to make sure.
Don’t think so. I I know it’s not the same thing but I used to have an air purifier thing with essential oils and it never messed with my fish. Also seen pictures of bars near me smoking cigars in front of big tanks with cool fish. I know it’s not the same but don’t see why it would effect it unlike if you’re tank is near a kitchen and a grease film starts building ontop of the water

Don’t believe so.

Possibly in a small, smoke filled room, but otherwise I wouldn't think so, not in most circumstances or most types of incense. Similar to cooking, scented candles, etc. What can cause issues is spraying something where it can land on the water surface, not the same thing.

No it does not, if used in a conventional way. I am sure that if you directed it into an air pump intake it would though.. I burn sage daily in my home and garage "fishroom" with no ill effects.
