  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
nice tank , i always questioned myself though about do those guys have to worry about insurance or any thing bc people ask me to build tanks for them always and i think it may be too risky even new tanks spring leaks

Thats a pimpin set up! How is it for cleanin the smaller tankz below? Very very kewl! I think you've got a great selection of fish in there too...group of Satanoperca leucostica....

VERY nice!!

Thanks for the notes guys! :)

The tank totalled around $500 including the pump and bulkheads.

All (most) of my fish are livebearers, so the little tanks are mainly Mexican goodeids, and the big tank was built for stingrays (livebearer - yes!). The big tank is plumbed direct to the sewer, and the small tanks I still use buckets for. I open the valve on the big tank, and by the time it drains to 50%, I can have all of the little tanks ready to be refilled. I use a hose from a tap in the bathroom on the other side of the wall to refill everything. Wife isn't happy about a 2" hole in the wall, but I wasn't happy schlepping buckets all day either. Total maintenance time including other tanks not in the picture is 2 hours a week.

I had an arrowana many years ago. He was great, but even at 16", he was obviously crowded in the 4x2 tank I had him in. I can't do that again - they're too large and active for most tanks, including this one.
