the green is alge
The pink is hes a light phase and hes not a normal frt.
The white spots are also due to the phase, was like that when I saw him

Did you happen to research "light phase" FRT's? I know Ivan listed it as such in his buy or sell and he is a very knowledgeable hobbyist but I have never come across any info regarding this besides the fact that some FRT's have obviously lighter shells and some are darker. The reason I ask is because mine is every bit as "light" as yours minus the pink coloration and the white dots.

I got this from ivan, I've done research on it. Some phases are different.

Pink coloration is think they get from nitrate or nitrite levels being to high I will check with a buddy who has FRT's for a very long time and really knows his stuff.

he had a pink coleration when i first bought him, my water quality is

ammonia = 0
nitrite = 0
nitrate = 10

the tanks a 360gallon with

bluegill
bullhead
oscar
ngt
frt.

They do get irritated skin when you have high levels of nitrate or nitrite like csx stated. Oddball knows alot about FRT's, i hope he can come in here and answer some questions. The white dots on the shell are normal...look at the pics of mine.
