Ok I cant take my eyes of them I am downstairs every hr watching them , :popcorn:they are not afraid of me at all if I move slow in front of tank and they are soo cute right now. Ok I am in love I admit it . Ps how much should I feed them they seem to be little pigs lol I chopped up about half a earthworm for the two and they ate it all. Oh they are just little.

also feed them with sliced fish chunks. so that you wont get into trouble of getting earthworms and bloodworms.

I admit it they are cute.

Yep, The LFS carry Silversides, minnow looking fish, I just picked up another bag yesterday. Also the beef heart is well appreciated.

Make sure to use a STAPLE of pellets and only feed the live foods once a day if you can get away with it. They may turn their noses up to the pellets at first, but they'll eat them eventually. I usually feed pellets first thing before I leave for work, and a couple more soaked with their frozen live food ~6-8PM. I have 6 species right now, all younguns vise my 9" Senegal...He's the oldest and best eater!

Hi

I feed my poly's lance fish, massivore pellets, blood worms, chopped up prawns, hake, earthworms. A few gold fish feeders now and again, but i keep the feeders for two weeks before feeding it to my fish just to make sure that they dont have any diseases.
I have had quite good growth rates with this diet.
Hope this helps

Unless you have your own home bred Thiaminase free feeders I dont recommend Live feeder fish at all....

You may have understood, the silversides are frozen food breed for feeding other fish, disease free and kept frozen until feeding time. Like sardines but without the salt.:)

You said feed LIVE foods once a day I'm letting him know to prevent any kind of Thiaminase poisoning to not feed Goldfish, Rosy Red Minnows or shellfish Without Added Vitamin B1....Convicts, Mollies, Guppies, Jewel Cichlids are good feeders.

Thanks all for your advice.

When my Senegal eats too much, he throws up this mess in the aquarium. The filtration gets it in a good minute, but still gross. Not very often though. He does primarily eat lancefish.
