Bring it to the show. U have nothing to lose. Not sure what shows it is and what judges look for in the show. It's a nice fish. The red is really red. Are u feeding color enhancement food for the reds? Cuz its lil to much that it's taking over the face area. Shape looks to be good. Could be better but it's still good. Maybe put it in a tank with light colors so the black marking on the fins go away to make it look more clean before entering the show.
She's around 5.5 inches from lips to tail (not include tail fin) for the qualified of 4.5 inches to get in the fight.
But as your encouraging, I'll give her a try. If she's not doing fine I could just throw the towel and bring her home.

Too much to post all of Contest classes at once so I'd go for only the contestants in same class
Could say that it's my first time that really go to some Aquariums contest fair. Only thing comes in my mind was "Why I don't do this earlier"

I didn't know about pre event registration so... No my girl doesn't have a chance this time to do so.
And I think she needs more time training the behavior while in show tank alone, if she's possible to play at front glass with the judges or guess in the event and don't get sick she'd be more than a beautiful fish (that flat on the floor or hide behind the heater).
