Hawaii's bass tend to look like more of a French Guiana ocell, while Florida's bass look more of the typical mono/Guyana ocell mix. But, it looks like ocells are washing out the blood line of monos.

Also, check out puerto Rico's cichla.

I remember a few years back A. Importz outta hawaii had some really nice true occels that were caught in hawaii. Snookn21 is a vendor in FL who was selling those really nice super spangled occels for a bit.
