Does this look normal (FX5)?

WOW looks great!! alot of flow.. I had an FX5 and got rid of it because it clogged all the time.... Some people have good success with them..
 
Mine's nothing that strong, taking the nozzles off didn't make a difference in the flow at all. It's got to be something to do with the hose length. I've got 3 and none of them shoot water like that.
 
I doubt it has anything to do with the hose length unless you have very long hoses. If you hoses are 3-5 ft, it should be fine.

I forget if you did but did you take a look at the impeller?

Yea! i use the standard sponges that came with the filter.
