MOst people would not do that but you always have that one person who does not do it right, from time to time we hear about horror stories, that could turn into one of them.
It doesn't scare me but thats only cause its not in my house. nice setup he's gonna lose I doubt it would withstand any additional stress like that. maybe he can post a video of it failing one day I doubt it would take long to catch it lol
Depends on the glass thickness and whether the glass sits on the wood directly or not. As long as there are no high points in the middle of the sideboard it should be fine. I know of a wholesaler in germany who has about 1000 tanks each sitting on two steel pipes at about the spacing that the edges of the sideboard represent. Should be fine but not recommended

Man I have trouble sleeping when I setup new tanks on good stands, I always wake up and check my carpet. I had a above the tank spay bar that rotated away from the tank and watered my basement
