Does this work in tropical tanks

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Although this product will not replace water changes to remove NO3.
It does work this morning tested my tank and NO3 levels have dropped to 10 PPM originally 80 ppm ( probably higher).:headbang2

I will continue with water changes although I may reduce the frequency from twice a week to once a week. The main use of this product will be before I go on vacation or have to leave the fish alone for a couple of days. This product will be part of the pre vacation prep routine.

For what its worth?

Great stuff! The shame is that by doing a water change ull actually make things worse by 20ppm (if I read ur tap readings correctly).

Well done for keeping us posted. :-)

That is the main issue and the only way around that is RO system. However this product has a residual effect . Right now my NO3 is 5ppm with no water change. My target was to keep nitrates at 20 ppm.

Now I'm thinking when I change water I add a capful or two of Nitrate remover to the treated tank. To keep levels up and active.

Well I did my water change yesterday at 30%, added an additional capful of nitrate remover,

Just tested my Nitrate levels today and Wham! bright Yellow !

0PPM! YES first time in years

Has anyone else tried this product that has had constant NO3 issues?

wow... that is remarkable.

Did you test your other water params such as pH and kH during the test?
